Toms Scores Six Times in Lacrosse Win

SLIPPERY ROCK--Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored six goals and added two assists to lead the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team to a 24-2 win over Slippery Rock University on Wednesday. The win was first for the Huskies new head coach Leah Quigley.
Toms led nine Bloomsburg scorers with her six goals, while Kimberly Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahn) and Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) each netted four goals and two assists.
The game was the first for Slippery Rock, 0-1, since the 1991 season.
Bloomsburg, 1-1, will host back-to-back games this weekend with Mercyhurst in town on Saturday and Millersville on Sunday with both games starting at 1 p.m. at Sports Stadium.
